Planos de saúde por acumulação: viabilidade e fatores de impacto

Abstract

The Brazilian model of Private Health, based on Pooling Risk, reflects difficulty of permanence to the beneficiary as the age increases, given that there is a significant increase in the costs and the eventual end of the employment relationship. In order to evaluate alternative model for the healthy maintenance of health insurances, the feasibility of a plan based on accumulation of resources throughout life was studied. Simulations were performed varying assumptions that impact the amount necessary to contribute in relation to the salary, using data from ANS. The results suggest that a health insurance model by accumulation can be feasible, depending on the scenario in which the individual finds himself, presenting itself with easier access to male individuals, residing in the Southeast Region, who start their contributions to the plan early, retire later and are in an economic scenario with high interest rates and low readjustment fee.
