ESTUDO DE PERMEABILIDADE AO AR EM AMOSTRAS DE Pinus caribaea Dougl. EM HABITAT SOB ATUAÇÃO DE QUEIMADAS PERIÓDICAS NA RELVA

This paper verifies the experiment's results about gas permeability subject to falling-water displacement method in creeping fire affected wood samples of Pinus caribaea Dougl. under air-dry and oven-dry conditions.

The relative great range at permeability data was verified in samples under air-dry and oven-dry experiments. However, the last ones presented greater permeability data.

The probable presence of aspirated bordered pit-pair, torus’ failure and irregular late wood probably influenced these results.
