Art-geography: the place as poetics of the image in Serrinha luz e cores

Abstract

This article proposes to discuss the concept of place as poetics of the image from the phenomenology of the imagination. When we look at an image, we are denuded by its ability to also observe us back. This mutual relationship, between breach, opening and incorporation, enlivened by the imagination, causes multiple affections and resignifies photography beyond a visual technique. In the photographs of the Serrinha luz e cores project, bodies and landscapes emerge as a product of being, added to the imagination, building daydreams about the place of the image, producing a poetic art-geography.
