Dear all,
In this issue, volume 32, number 3, we are shedding light on the production of medicinal and aromatic plants and condimental herbs by family farmers. To this end, we go to Southern Brazil to hear from colleagues Cirino Corrêa Jr. and Marianne Scheffer. The painter Rosemarie Borgmann goes along on this journey, inspiring us with her work "Chamomiles", which is partially reproduced on the front cover, and appears in full beauty on the third cover. We are very grateful to Rosemarie, who, like the artists who preceded her, entrusted to Horticultura Brasileira for free an instant of their art.
As mentioned in our last letter, we are releasing Horticultura Brasileira ahead in time. Issue number 3, which until last year were made available usually in late September, is now ready and available in early August. Our goal is to publish in January the first issue of volume 33, 2015.
In this issue we are saying goodbye to three major collaborators: Arthur Bernardes Cecilio Filho, José Fernando Durigan and Luiz Henrique Bassoi. Thanks to you three, who for many years have been dedicated, impartial and extreme competent Scientific Editors. You left indelibly imprints on the history of Horticultura Brasileira.
