Glauber and signs

This paper seeks to identify, in Glauber Rocha´s work, elements still in dispersion about a project on a semiotics theory of the Third World. To do that, there were selected three kinds of signs that can caracterize the terms of such semiotics: the cinema signs, the trance signs and the revolution signs. Under the influence of Charles Sanders Peirce and Deleuze on cinema and semiotics, Glauber's work appears as a project wich it's main purpose is to engender new signification processes that have the ability to signify the Third World in it's uniqueness. From the semiosis that Glauber engenders, he comes close to the concepts of opsigns and sonsigns brought up by Deleuze under Peirce's influence and that also caracterize, under some aspects, the primity: the primacy of the pure image and the qualitative aspects of the signification.
