faith and pragmatism in the hinterland

Hinterland man’s imagination is permeated by mystical/mytical figures exerts a profound influence in the social ethos formation. Whether they are folklore or real, they influence individually and socially – without even necessarily aware of such Power - myriad “devotees”, towards latu sense, in the representative daily your land/identity: the backwoods. This involvement interweaves between several chains: ecclesial, cultural, religious, transcendental and others, which is not always phenomenal or institutionally dialogue or diverge and even or are struggling to go in a matter of religious domains territorialities, whose leaders and/or “supernatural ties” possession they dictate canons to be followed. This influence is face-to-face or remote passed from generation to generation, inculturated manner or autochthonous and has its origin in the Heteronomy that forged the hinterland man’s religious imagery. The power of the persuasion has been explored in various areas – from policy area to the religious; from academic area to the social; and from the individual to the massive. Has been channeled to social works also electoral influence; for a country identity or a liquid culture; in political illiteracy solidification or to contextualized education with the semiarid region; from clarified faith to irrational and inconsistent devotion. This essay proposes to discuss intimate relationship among these now that were cited manifested phenomena a warm public demonstrations to the manifests provided individualized actions, which constitute the hinterland man’s essence and its surroundings.
