InterCorr 2025 – 10th International Corrosion CongressThis supplement contains a selection of articles presented at InterCorr 2025 – International Corrosion Congress1, held from July 8 to 11, 2025, at the CDI, International Dissemination Center of the University of São Paulo, promoted by the Brazilian Corrosion Association, ABRACO, and the Technological Research Institute of the State of São Paulo, IPT/SP.
InterCorr 2025, the International Corrosion Congress, is a biennial event of ABRACO. It is recognized as a benchmark for industrial development, serving as an excellent forum for presenting new technologies, disseminating knowledge, prospecting for new brands, identifying business opportunities, and expanding relationships. The objective is to encourage the exchange of information among researchers, technicians, professionals, and companies of national and global scope.
The 2025 edition featured approximately 600 participants, with a significant international presence, 195 technical paper presentations, 7 plenary sessions, and 5 technical lectures. By bringing together specialists, researchers, and industry leaders, InterCorr 2025 reinforced the importance of awareness and continuous education in corrosion prevention, thereby directly strengthening the sector and driving the adoption of safer, more economical, and environmentally responsible practices. Therefore, we believe that the synergy between industry and academia, promoted during the event, will lead to innovative advances in the future of corrosion control, benefiting the entire production chain.
Therefore, we express our sincere gratitude to the professionals, presenters, committee members, paper reviewers, and moderators of the technical sessions, whose knowledge, expertise, and dedication helped to define a high-quality program and ensured the excellence of the technical presentations.
