Superfície e subterrâneos da gestão de pessoas em uma organização mineira

In a moment that global argument is emphasized, this article discusses relations between local characteristics and people management. It was analyzed a case of a Brazilian organization through semi structured interviews with managers and workers. The main results show that there is an expressive relation between locality and management strategy adopted, even when globalization argument is so strong. Particularly on people management, we find both modernization and conservatism characteristics. There is secondary changes, without deep alterations in relationship between enterprise and workers, which characterizes an authentic process of conservatory modernization.
