A inserção do feminino no universo masculino: representações da educação superior

The objective of this work consisted in discovering the representations of the gender relations socially built in the organizational space of a public university specialized in rural sciences. Thus, the social representations theory and the "post-structuralist" contributions about gender relations were taken as references. Through a qualitative methodological perspective, it was accessed, by the analyses of the declarations of teachers who were interviewed, the building or destructions of the current relations in a historical context-social-cultural and psychological. Those relations were distributed in categories as: the relation family-work; the professionalization as a benchmark in the distinction of the gender, gender and higher learning; and gender relations, performance at work and career success, making it possible to infer that in those instances some differences stand still, despite the common idea of equality used by organizational subjects.
