Profile of the Psychologists registered in CRP-04 East Branch

The objective of this paper was to make a professional profile assessment of psychologists registered in the Regional Council of Psychology East Branch (CRP-04), working in the Municipality of Governador Valadares until 2010. It is a quantitative and comparison study between current survey data and those comprising the national database that are in the paper "The Psychologist's work in Brazil", organized by Bastos, Gondim et al (2010). A questionnaire, via email marketing, was used with 85 respondents that encompassed the categories of the professional profile. Collected data were organized in Microsoft Excel and they were analyzed in the Sphinx Survey software, Lexica Option. It was found that the majority of participants are white, married, female, age range from 26 to 30 yrs old, graduated at a private institution, mainly with expertise in organizational clinic and working in clinic. They earn between 3 and 4 minimum wages as employed psychologist. Generally, most of them did not have other professional activity and their household income is approximately of 10 minimum wages. Data corroborate with the national average for this working class professional profile, carrying some peculiarities from the Municipality of Governador Valadares.
