Prazer e sofrimento no trabalho: representações sociais de profissionais de recursos humanos

This study describes the social representation of well-being and suffering at work built by the Human Resources professionals of Banco do Brasil. The research is based on the Work Psychodynamic Theory and Social Representation Theory. The adopted methodology is qualitative-oriented, using the focus group technique as the main form of data collection. Informers recognize the existence of well-being and suffering circunstances in the organization and assume that the Human Resources professional should take an active role in these circumstances with the purpose of minimizing suffering and maximizing well-being.
