The concept of enlightenment in Horkheimer, Adorno and Freud: notes for a debate

This article analyses the concept of enlightenment in Horkheimer, Adorno and Freud. Therefore, it traces a parallel between two of the most representative works of these authors in terms of cultural criticism: The Concept of Enlightenment and The Future of an Illusion, respectively. Although an initial approach might suggest different theoretical perspectives, we emphasize that they can be taken as complementary in defense of a more adequate using of conceptual thought.
