Hysterosalpingography: balloon catheter or metal cannula?

Answer: In patients submitted to HSG, the use of a balloon catheter, in comparison with a metal cannula, reduces pain during the procedure and up to one hour after it and can also reduce nausea. The quality of the evidence that supports this result is high.
