Considering the importance of curricular activities for medical training, this study has aimed to identify and reflect on the construction of the situations used in the Simulation Stations (SS) activity in the first class of medical school at Federal University of Sao Carlos/SP from 2006 to 2009. This is a descriptive case study, where 57 simulations and their program have been analyzed. The results have shown a predominance of stations in the area of Adult and Elderly Health and Community and Family Health. Other variables have been analyzed such as age, gender, stages of illness and health, the health care setting, areas of knowledge and others. It has been identified that the SS of the medical course at UFSCar elaborated between the years 2006 and 2009 should be better structured. This study has contributed to the formulation of some criteria and variables that should be contained in the construction of the SS, so that they may represent the best of the reality of medical practice.
