The following species are described and illustrated: Nananthidium fasciatum sp. nov., N. flavoalveolatum sp. nov. and N. peruvianum sp. nov. from Peru, and N. schlindweini sp. nov. from Brazil. Notes on the variation of the color pattern of N. bettyae Moure, 1947 and N. quadrimaculatum (Cockerell, 1927) are given. A key to the females from South American species is presented.
