Open-access A Republic during the Constituent Assembly (1985-1988)

Abstract

This article aims to look at some values related to the idea of Republic present in repertoire of political practices that existed in Brazilian society in the second half of the 1980's. In particular certain principles will be observed which seemed to have conferred a common identity on the different organized movements during this period in relation to the struggle to attain widespread social participation in the definition of the political directions of the country.
