History of the education of the black population in Brazil and the discent production on education and ethnic-racial relations (2003-2014)

Abstract:

The ‘History of the Education of the Black Population’ category of the research Educação e relações étnico-raciais: o estado da arte (Silva, Regis, & Miranda, 2018) covered the analysis of theses and dissertations defended in stricto sensu graduate programs in Education between 2003 and 2014. In this article, we examined the 18 student works that were grouped into three subcategories. A content analysis of the works was carried out, a brief description of the statistical data, highlighted themes, methodologies, recommendations and theoretical references most used. His contributions to the field of History of Education were discussed. It was stressed that the set of research has the merit of discussing stories, memories, struggles and life trajectories silenced in Brazilian science.
