Due to the increasing number of schools of professional training at the technical level in nursing, the teaching sector became a large of employment for the professionals graduating from the superior nursing courses, did not receive pedagogic formation in their initial formation. This study focused on a group of nurses, teachers from a school at the technical level, analyzing their initial training in order to practice teaching. It is a qualitative based study of a descriptive-explicative nature, with data collected by questionnaire and the information studied by analysis of the content. What can be concluded is the responsibility for the teaching qualification should not only be attributed to the initial formation, since practical experience allied to constant learning in work are reinforcers for this action.
