Under the “Best Interest”! The Homoaffectives and the Child in Adoption Procedures

Abstract:

This paper discusses about the local of sexuality when an applicant for adoption is identified as homoaffective, and what differences emerge between being gay and lesbian homoaffective. The object of analysis are processes and qualifications of homoaffective joint adoption required in the city of Rio de Janeiro. In the analysis the intention was understand the meaning about homossexuality in the connection between family and kinship. Embased on the social structure, to interpret the processes, was considered the following questions: How the members of court of Childhood, Young and Elderly think the relation between adoption and homossexuality? What the idea about family and sexualities are produced to construe the processes? In what way the principle of “the best interest of child” is utilized in homoaffective processes?
