Utilização da técnica de processo analítico hierárquico (AHP) na avaliação da "favorabilidade" para a prospecção mineral de cromo na região de Pinheiros Altos, município de Piranga, MG, Brasil

Techniques of integration, manipulation and spatial analyze data were utilized these work, viewing selected potential areas to chrome prospecting, using as basis a prospective descriptive model elaborated from quantitative analyze of the several data. The geochemic data were obtained through sampling of heavy minerals along the stream water (drainage), an area of approximately 50 km². These data were chemically analyzed based on atomic absorption. The chemical data were crossed with geological data using a GIS (Geographical Information Systems), viewing a best characterization of mineral potential of the area to chrome mineralization. Geologically, the area located in the southeast border of São Francisco Craton, and is related to a volcano-sedimentary sequence and granitoid bodies with Archean ages. It was use, as Geoprocessing tool, the technique of multicriteria evaluation, defined through a Fuzzy weighting operator (in this case, Analytical Hierachy Process - AHP), to help in the decision taking and definition of the weights in the several attributes input. With these data in hands, was possible to select some areas, in the study region, with interesting characteristics to the realization of the researches. Herewith was possible to estimate the importance of the favorably evaluation, using GIS, in the mineral research activities to give support in the generation of a prospective model.
