Migration and crisis: the return of Brazilian immigrants from Portugal

In face of the crisis that began in 2008, return migration became, worldwide, the scenery of the migration routes of the second decennium of the 21st century. In the case of Brazil, this movement is especially important, since the economic situation of the country, at that time, was more favorable to countries central to the capitalist system, working as an attractive factor and contributing to hasten return plans that were becoming latent. This text, using data from return immigrants, interviewed in the states of Minas Gerais and Rondônia, paints a picture of the situation lived abroad and in Brazil when migrating back.
