0 presente trabalho versa sobre o estudo taxonómico das espécies e variedades do gênero Rubus L. (Rosaceae) que ocorrem no Estado do Rio de Janeiro, com descrições dos táxons, chaves analíticas para identificação dos mesmos, ilustrações do habitus e detalhes morfológicos.

Abstract The Rubus L. genus, widely spread out in temperate zones, displays just a few species in Brazil. The present work consists in the study of four species and two varieties of the genus that occurs in the State of Rio de Janeiro. A key to determine the species, besides a full description of the morphological characteristics, geographical distribution maps and photos of the exsicate-type of Rubus, is shown in this work, where on tried to observe the vegetative and reproductive characteristics, of each species, followed by information about the behaviour of R. rosifolius J. Smith var. rosifolius in relation visiting insects.

Neste trabalho, os autores apresentam o estudo da nervação e epiderme foliar das 26 espécies do género Serjania Plum, ex Schum., ocorrentes no Estado do Rio de Janeiro e assinalam três padrões de nervação simples e um misto.

Abstract In this work the authors present the study of the venation and epidermis of the leaves of the 26 species of the genus Serjania Plum, ex Schum., occurring in the State of Rio de Janeiro and they mark out three simple venation patterns and one mixed.

A taxinomia das espécies do gênero Maprounea Aubl. (Euphorbiaceae), que ocorrem em florestas primárias e secundárias, capoeiras e cerrados da América do Sul é discutida. Com base em estudos morfológicos, anatômicos e palinológicos são distinguidas duas espécies e três variedades: M. guianensis Aubl. var. guianensis (= M. guianensis var. undulata Müll. Arg. syn. nov.), M. guianensis var. nervosa Müll. Arg., M. guianensis var. obtusata (Müll. Arg.) Müll. Arg. e M. brasiliensis St. Hil. É apresentada a anatomia foliar com análise do bordo, lâmina e pecíolo de todos os "taxa" e descritos os nectários extraflorais. O número de camadas de tecido paliçádico da lâmina foliar e a distribuição dos nectários extraflorais são reconhecidos como bons caracteres taxinômicos.

Abstract The taxonomy of the species of the genus Maprounea Aubl. (Euphorbiaceae) which are found in primary and secondary forests, "capoeiras" and "cerrados" in South America is discussed. Based on morphologic, anatomic and palynological studies two species and three varieties are distinguished: M. guianensis Aubl. var. guianensis, M. guianensis var. nervosa Müll. Arg. e M. guianensis var. obtusata (Müll. Arg.) Müll. Arg. e M. brasiliensis St. Hil. It's presented the leaf anatomy with the edge analysis, blade and petiole of all the "taxa" besides the description of the extrafloral nectaries. The number of rows of palisade tissue of the leaf blade and the distribution of the extrafloral nectaries are recognized to be good taxonomic features.
