Evangélicos e Gênero no Brasil: uma revisão da produção socioantropológica

This article summarizes the findings of socio-anthropological literature published between 1994 and 2015 on gender representation and relations among evangelicals. It aims to introduce new researchers to the subject based on essential references to ensure that the legacy of a previous generation is not assumed to be new or original. This text brings together, in an unprecedented way, 16 emblematic works based on a narrative review that recovers evidence of the impact of this faith, in particular its ambivalence regarding the revision of the distribution of power between genders and the lives of women. The article also highlights the new theoretical and methodological directions that have been consolidated, especially since 2009.
