This study analyses how different sociodemographic factors influence digital exclusion in the Spanish healthcare sector. To this end, data from the 2024 Health Barometers of the Sociological Research Centre (CIS) are used. First, a descriptive profile of the use and knowledge of eHealth is drawn up according to sociodemographic variables. Subsequently, using Chi-square and Cramer's V statistics, the associations and their intensity are analyzed. The results show that the digitalization of the healthcare system particularly excludes older people and those with low levels of education. In addition, other variables that accentuate inequality are low income, unpaid domestic work and negative self-perception of health status. |

Abstract in Spanish: Resumen The article analyzes the spaces of emerging citizenship of Haitian people who live in Santiago de Chile, as well as their forms of social organization. Through field work carried out between the years 2018 and early 2025 with an ethnographic methodology, a nascent autonomy is observed in Haitian residents in the communes of Quilicura and Estación Central - and especially in the peripheral commune of Quilicura - which we investigate here based on the understanding of the dynamics of social incorporation and roots or not of migrants: uncertain citizenship, ethnic borders and urban relegation. The results conclude that Haitian migrants report being discriminated against for racist reasons and undervalued for their national origin, within the framework of an asymmetric multiculturalism that does not accept them as equals in political-social terms. The creation and growing participation in Afro-descendant associations that act as intermediary structures is confirmed. Currently, there are few publications that analyze the experiences of Haitians in Greater Santiago, considering their practices and strategies in the face of situations of contempt experienced; In this way, the article hopes to contribute to a better understanding of the coexistence between nationals and Haitians in Chile.Abstract in English: Abstract The article analyzes the spaces of emerging citizenship of Haitian people who live in Santiago de Chile, as well as their forms of social organization. Abstract in English: Abstract This lecture examines the “Great Symbolic Scrambling” currently unfolding in the United States and beyond, using recognition and stigmatization as its main analytical lenses. Drawing on a comparative and multiscalar approach, the text analyzes how symbolic and social boundaries are produced, contested, and transformed by political leaders, institutions, cultural producers, social movements, and marginalized groups. Its central argument is that inequality is reproduced not only through economic exploitation or symbolic domination, but also through cultural processes that define who is granted dignity, belonging, and social worth. Based on previous research and ongoing work, the lecture discusses inclusive narratives created by cultural change agents, recognition strategies among young workers in the United States, and the tensions between work, territory, and environmental responsibility among Indigenous peoples in Canada. It concludes by arguing that recognition should not be understood as a zero-sum game, but as a crucial dimension in the construction of more inclusive societies. |
