Borders and cultural ethnic involving the process contact between the indigenous Enawene Nawe and territories Inoti in river igh Juruena / Mato Grosso

ABSTRACT

This work aims to analyze the expansionary fronts of the Brazilian State and the contact process involving cultural and ethnic boundaries with indigenous Enawene Nawe in the upper rio Juruena territories, located in northwestern Mato Grosso. The study set up in a historical nature of research in the social perspective and based on documentary sources, aiming at the historical reconstruction of the agreements and disagreements between the people Enawene Nawe and Inoti (white). In the analysis of the data we work with discourses and narratives that reveal the contact and the contrasts of worlds, values and beliefs, seeking to realize the Enawene perspective through social interaction with non-indigenous groups, conflicts and alliances, as well as the struggle for territory.
