Social policy between hegemony and dependency

Abstract:

This article aims to present the main determinations of social policy in shaping bourgeois hegemony, with an emphasis on Latin American and Brazilian realities marked by dependency. To this end, it retrieves references that focus on the particular configuration of the labor market and the centrality of value transfer in dependent economies, highlighting the limitations imposed on the materialization of social policies and hegemony.
