Abstract:
The purpose of this article is to develop a summary of the work Dialectic of Dependence, by Ruy Mauro Marini, as well as to demonstrate how current it is. The methodology consists of bibliographical research based on the works of Marini and some authors who analyzed his writings. It was possible to understand that Marini believes in the conception of capitalism as a hierarchical system and reproduces different patterns of accumulation, since the development of some nations occurs through the underdevelopment of others.
