Abstract:
The text refers to the statement made at the Katherine Kendall award of the International Association of Social Work Schools, during the Social Work Education and Social Development Conference, (SWSD) 2018 in Dublin, Ireland, in July 2018. It addresses to Education in Social Work in Latin America, coping with inequality, poverty and struggles that challenges Social Work in the region besides presenting the Brazilian experience.
