Abstract:
The article, the result of qualitative and descriptive research, aimed to analyze how the criminal treatment of LGBTI+ persons deprived of liberty has been constituted in Rio Grande do Sul. For data collection, a script was used with the 125 prisons in the state, with a response rate of 48.8% of responses that were based on discursive textual analysis. The results point to a criminal treatment that violates rights and responds to the demands of this population.
