This research had as objectives to identify factors resulting from working time that affect the quality of the nursing assistance, as well as to propose strategies to enhance them. It is an exploratory-descriptive study collected through a questionnaire, applied with 12 nurses who had more than one job in a general hospital in Fortaleza-CE. The data analysis was conducted in two parts: characterization of the participants and of the categories. The results show that there is a deficit in the care given by these nurses as a result of the long and hard work time. Before this, one proposes some strategies to enhance the quality of this assistance.
