Its purpose is to study the following theme: The Nurse in the day-to-day of Human Care, with the objective of composing an explicative theoretical model that is able to explain and clarify some points related to the profile of the human condition and the professional vocation of the nurse, using their day-to-day care within their work environment as an empirical reality. Its specific objectives are the following: to comprehend the existing theoretical relationship between the specific actions of care and the significance the nurses place upon this care; to comprehend the significant relationship between the human condition of the nurse and the essence of their class; to make an interpretation of the problem structure concerning the fundamental values that nurses assume and use to guide their actions, based upon the findings of this study. The theoretical-methodological approach used was the philosophical orientation of Symbolic Interactionism, using the Data-Founded Theory method. From the results obtained an explicative theoretical model was constructed, integrated by the following elements: The Phenomenon: living the day-to-day of the action of nursing care; The Causal Conditions: professional vocation and human condition; the Contextual Condition: the work environment; The Action/Interaction Strategies: the day-to-day in the action of care; the Intervening Conditions: sensibility and class and values that guide the action; and the Consequence: Reconstructing the Human Condition in Nursing Care. Finally, this article presents some of the results that stemmed from the data: 1 Five categories were elaborated: Professional Vocation, Human Condition, The day-to-day of the action of care, Sensibility and Class, Values that guide the Action. 2 There is a human condition the nurse with personal characteristics of the human being and individual, personal traits of the day-to-day life of people who dedicate themselves to their own care and to care for others. 3 The class does not establish differences between being a nurse and giving care, highlighting the data that whether the human being is a man or a woman, they can have the sensibility, the vocation, the human condition, and the fundamental values needed for human care. 4 The nurses, as objects in this study, have great self-esteem and personal and professional satisfaction in their condition as nurses, which they express with pride. 5 They give great importance to emotional and spiritual health within the limits of human care. 6 They express great security in the epistemological, axiological, and ontological bases of their role of Being a Nurse and as those responsible for health care.
