Integrality in care in health care from the perspective of municipal district managementThe present study integrates an evaluative analysis of the Expansion and Consolidation Program of Family Health and consists of a study of qualitative approach, developed in one large municipal in Brazil. In this article we attempt to present a description of the process of qualitative evaluation of the integrality regarding the management of health care in a municipal district. We used semi-structured interviews with 10 representatives of the municipal administration, structured interviews with the representative of Municipal Council of Health, and a solemnity-applied questionnaire to the Municipal Secretary of Health as instruments. We verified that the Program amplified access, liberating a repressed demand. However, this implies an increase of expenses and of the challenge of enlarging the communication and resolvability of the services.
