ABSTRACT: The purpose of the study hereby is to describe the course of the collective evaluation applied on a group of just-graduated students and another of instructors/supervisors, both from a Nursing Assistant Continuation Course of the Health Formation School at the Human Resources Development Center (SES) in the state of Santa Catarma, Brazil. This work was based on Freinan research and implemented throughout the Circles of Culture, held within August'95 and October'96 The experience of taking part in the Circles of Culture - first held with thejust-graduated-students and later with the instructors/supervisors-enabled identifying the limits of the project, showing the trajectory of these nurse assistants. Among the numerous topics discussed then, Dialogue, Teaching-Learning and Evaluation were selected since we believe these subjects embody all the others discussed. This experience resulted in a significant contribution not only to the participants of these Circles of Culture, but also to the health services and the medical formation in nursing.
