RESUMO O primeiro livro de M.M. Bakhtin sobre Dostoiévski é alvo de atenção dos pesquisadores há mais de 90 anos. No artigo é analisada a última onda da recepção russa de Problemas da criação de Dostoiévski. Provamos que a questão do estudo da recepção das ideias bakhtinianas, contidas no livro, não perde a sua atualidade tanto no que diz respeito à construção do quadro geral da história intelectual, quanto à análise dos componentes isolados.Resumo em Inglês:
ABSTRACT The first book of M. M. Bakhtin on Dostoevsky has been the focus of researchers for over 90 years now. In this article, an analysis is carried out of the last wave of the Russian reception of Problems of Dostoevsky’s Art. We show that the study of the reception of Bakhtinian ideas, contained in the work, remains relevant with respect to the development of the general framework of the intellectual history, and to the analysis of isolated components.Resumo em Português:
RESUMO O texto relembra e comenta, numa perspectiva pessoal, o impacto da descoberta de Mikhail Bakhtin no ambiente acadêmico brasileiro de modernização dos estudos da linguagem nas décadas de 1970 e 1980, quando retomavam-se as linhas de pesquisa do chamado “formalismo russo”, na esteira de uma ascensão da Linguística como ciência de ponta, em ondas de imigração teórica preponderantemente francesas. Neste panorama, o ensaio relembra os dois focos principais da obra de Bakhtin, o temático-literário e o estritamente linguístico, e destaca a permanência e vitalidade de seu pensamento na formulação de uma teoria do romance. Ao final, o texto faz uma breve reflexão sobre o sentido contemporâneo da sensibilidade literária, a partir da multiplicidade das vozes que constituem o tecido da literatura na perspectiva bakhtiniana.Resumo em Inglês:
ABSTRACT This text recalls and comments, from a personal perspective, on Mikhail Bakhtin’s impact on the Brazilian academic scene during the modernization of language studies in the 1970s and 1980s, when “Russian formalism” was revived as a research line, in the wake of Linguistics rising to a cutting-edge science, in waves of predominantly French theoretical immigration. Within this panorama, the essay looks back on the two main focuses of Bakhtin’s work – the thematic-literary and the strictly linguistic – highlighting the permanence and vitality of his thought in forming a theory of the novel. Finally, the text covers a brief reflection on the contemporary sense of literary sensibility, from the multiplicity of the voices that constitute the fabric of literature in the Bakhtinian perspective.Resumo em Português:
RESUMO Partindo da resenha crítica de Lunatcharski ao livro Problemas da obra de Dostoievski, publicada em 1929, e da resposta de Bakhtin, em 1963, na segunda versão do seu livro, intitulada Problemas da poética de Dostoievski, este ensaio estabelece um confronto entre os dois críticos. Coerente como o conceito de dialogismo de Bakhtin, que extrapola o diálogo concreto, o texto demonstra as relações dialógicas entre ambos os pensadores e as ideologias estéticas em circulação na União Soviética, bem como as convergências e divergências teóricas entre eles. Por fim, observa a influência da posição de cada um deles na sociedade soviética em seus respectivos textos. Como Comissário do Povo para a Educação e Cultura, Lunatcharski representa o pensamento oficial do Partido (embora jamais tenha sido tão dogmático quanto a doutrina oficial a ser imposta); Bakhtin, em sua relativa marginalidade, anterior a sua consagração, produz seus textos a partir de uma posição discretamente destoante do discurso oficial do governo soviético.Resumo em Inglês:
ABSTRACT Starting by Lunacharsky's critical review of the book Problems of Dostoevsky's Art, published in 1929 and Bakhtin's reply, in 1963, in the second version of his book, entitled Problems of Dostoevsky's Poetics, this essay establishes a confrontation between the two critics. Consistent with Bakhtin's concept of dialogism, which extrapolates the category concrete dialogue, this study shows the dialogical relations between both thinkers and the aesthetic ideologies in circulation in the Soviet Union, as well as convergences and divergences between them. Finally, the essay highlights the influence of their positions in the Soviet society in each text. As the People's Commissar for Education and Culture, Lunacharsky represents the official thought of the Party (although he had never been as dogmatic as the official doctrine that was to be imposed); Bakhtin, in his relative marginality, prior to his recognition, produces his texts from a position discreetly dissonant from the official discourse of the Soviet government.Resumo em Português:
RESUMO Este artigo dá continuidade às reflexões desenvolvidas no projeto/CNPq Discursos de resistência: tradição e ruptura, em sua vertente dedicada à recepção de Bakhtin e o Círculo no Brasil. As traduções, consideradas fonte indiscutível dessa recepção, são observadas a partir dos paratextos, ou mais especificamente, de seus textos-moldura, como os denominamos, que as compõem desde o final da década de 1970. A autoria desses textos-moldura ajuda a traçar um significativo panorama das faces brasileiras da perspectiva dialógica, advinda de Bakhtin e o Círculo, em seus diferentes momentos. Neste trabalho, o objetivo é focalizar as cinco edições (tradução e re-traduções) de Problemas da poética de Dostoiévski (1981, 1997, 2002, 2008 e 2010), todas feitas por Paulo Bezerra, diretamente do russo. Os textos-moldura que as acompanham, também assinados pelo tradutor, apresentam e aprofundam as qualidades do autor traduzido e de sua obra, desenhando a construção sistemática e institucional do pensamento bakhtiniano no Brasil, realizada por pesquisadores que, além da necessária escuta internacional, vão construindo um caminho com especificidades brasileiras.Resumo em Inglês:
ABSTRACT This article furthers reflections developed in the research project entitled, Discursos de resistência: tradição e ruptura [Discourse of Resistance: Tradition and Rupture]/CNPq, and focuses on the aspect of the project devoted to how Bakhtin and the Circle’s works have been received in Brazil. The published translations, an indisputable source of this reception, are studied through paratexts, or, more specifically, as we call them, frame-texts, included in the translated editions since the late 1970s. The authorship of these frame-texts helps to outline a clear overview of the various Brazilian articulations of the dialogical perspective, as per Bakhtin and the Circle, at different moments in time. This paper aims to focus on five editions (translations and re-translations) of Problems of Dostoevsky’s Poetics (1981, 1997, 2002, 2008 and 2010), translated from Russian into Portuguese by Paulo Bezerra. The frame-texts included in these editions, also written by the translator, present and deepen the understanding of characteristics of the author translated, and his work, tracing the systematic and institutional development of Bakhtinian thought in Brazil, carried out by researchers who, along with the necessary listening to international voices, construct a characteristically Brazilian path.Resumo em Português:
RESUMO Este artigo é o resultado de uma análise comparativa entre as duas edições da obra de Mikhail Bakhtin: Problemas da obra de Dostoiévski, primeira edição, em 1929, e Problemas da poética de Dostoiévski, revista e publicada em 1963. O objetivo é estabelecer uma comparação do conceito de polêmica velada presente nesses livros, com foco nas formas de presença do discurso do outro. A metodologia é partir da análise bakhtiniana da novela Memórias do subsolo (1864), de Fiódor Dostoiévski, em especial quanto à formulação linguístico-discursiva de polêmica velada. Em que medida as alterações presentes na segunda edição contribuem para novos esclarecimentos da polêmica? Os resultados apontam a existência de mudanças e de permanências, o que permite esclarecer a importância central do conceito de polêmica para a análise do discurso alheio nos discursos literários e também nos discursos de circulação social.Resumo em Inglês:
ABSTRACT This article is the result of a comparative analysis of two editions of Bakhtin’s work: Problems of Dostoevsky’s Creation, first published in 1929, and Problems of Dostoevsky’s Poetics, revised and published in 1963. The objective is to compare how the two editions present the concept of hidden polemic focusing on the forms in which the other’s discourse is present. The methodology relies on a Bakhtinian analysis of the novella Notes from Underground (1864) by Fyodor Dostoevsky, in particular, the linguistic-discursive formation of the hidden polemic. In what ways do the alterations in the second edition contribute to new insights regarding the polemic? Results point to the existence of preservations and changes that clarify the importance of the concept of polemic for the analysis of the other’s discourse in literary discourses, and also discourses in social circulation.Resumo em Russo:
АННОТАЦИЯ Статья призвана продемонстрировать, как некоторые положения книги Бахтина о Достоевском просятся к саморазвитию, открывая простор для дополнительных интерпретаций. В статье анализируются две пары базовых оппозиций, пронизывающих роман Достоевского “Преступление и наказание”. Наряду с “пороговым” пространством, блестяще раскрытым Бахтиным, в романе наблюдается противопоставление модели замкнутого пространства модели открытого пространства. Первое ассоциировано со смертью, с адом, откуда нет выхода, со слепотой сознания; второе - с воскресением, раскаянием, прозрением и духовным преображением. Этой оппозиции по смыслу соответствует вторая, выраженная символическими лейтмотивами “жара”, “вонь”, “духота” в противопоставлении к лейтмотивам “воздух”, “вода”, “дождь”. Дешифровка этих оппозиций приводит автора к выводу о том, что в романе метафорически воссоздана евангельская история воскрешения Лазаря, а сам роман в жанровом отношении являет собой художественный парафраз.Resumo em Português:
RESUMO O artigo dedica-se a demonstrar como algumas teses do livro de Bakhtin sobre Dostoiévski permitem um autodesenvolvimento, ao darem espaço para interpretações complementares. No artigo, são analisados dois pares de oposições básicas que perpassam o romance de Dostoiévski Crime e castigo. Juntamente com o espaço “limiar”, uma descoberta brilhante de Bakhtin, observa-se no romance a oposição entre o modelo do espaço fechado e o modelo do espaço aberto. O primeiro está associado à morte, ao inferno, de onde não há saída, à consciência cega; o segundo, à ressurreição, ao arrependimento, à clarividência e à transfiguração espiritual. Em termos de sentido, essa segunda oposição corresponde à expressa pelos leitmotivs simbólicos do “calor”, do “fedor”, do “sufocamento”, em oposição aos leitmotivs do “ar”, da “água”, da “chuva”. A decifração dessas oposições leva-nos a concluir que no romance está reconstituída a história evangélica da ressurreição de Lázaro, e o próprio romance é, quanto ao gênero, uma paráfrase artística.Resumo em Inglês:
ABSTRACT The article is intended to demonstrate how some of the ideas of Bakhtin’s book about Dostoevsky tend to self-development, opening up space for additional interpretations. The article analyzes two pairs of basic oppositions in Dostoevsky’s novel Crime and Punishment. Along with the model of “threshold” space, brilliantly revealed by Bakhtin, the novel contains the opposition of the closed space model to the open space model. The first is associated with death, with hell, where there is no way out, with blindness of consciousness; the second - with resurrection, repentance, insight and spiritual transformation. In terms of meaning, this opposition corresponds to the second one, expressed by the symbolic leitmotifs “heat,” “stink,” “stuffiness” in contrast to the leitmotifs “air,” “water,” “rain.” Deciphering these oppositions leads the author to the conclusion that in the novel the gospel story of the resurrection of Lazarus is metaphorically recreated, and the novel itself can be attributed to a genre of an artistic paraphrase.Resumo em Português:
RESUMO O objetivo do presente ensaio é compreender a complementaridade do campo conceitual, desenvolvido pelos estudos do dialogismo, para explorar a composição das ideias a partir das relações dialógicas manifestadas em ideologemas construídos pelos ideólogos nas obras romanescas de Dostoiévski. Para cumprir tal objetivo, a investigação de Volóchinov se coloca como premissa fundamental. Graças à compreensão do signo ideológico como formação discursiva constituída nas refrações que abrem os caminhos indagativos a novas possibilidades especulativas, ou melhor, a ideologemas, podemos compreender a magnitude do trabalho do ideólogo e de sua produção intensiva de ideologia geradora de formas no romance polifônico.Resumo em Inglês:
ABSTRACT The aim of this essay is to better understand the complementarity of the conceptual field developed in dialogism studies, to explore the composition of ideas from the dialogic relations expressed in ideologemes, in Dostoevsky’s novels, as constructed by the theorists. To achieve this aim, Vološinov’s investigation is presented as a fundamental premise. Thanks to the understanding of the ideological sign as a discursive formation, established in the refractions that open up the investigative pathways to new speculative possibilities – or rather, to ideologemes – we are able to understand the magnitude of the ideologist’s work and their intensive production of ideology, creating forms in the polyphonic novel.Resumo em Português:
RESUMO A análise de discursos comparativa surgiu na França, mais precisamente no laboratório CEDISCOR, da Universidade Sorbonne Nouvelle - Paris 3, por volta dos anos 2000. Atualmente, ela vem sendo implementada no Brasil no âmbito do grupo Diálogo (CNPq/USP). O objetivo do artigo é refletir sobre as possibilidades teóricas e metodológicas implicadas na prática da análise de discursos comparativa no Brasil, de inspiração bakhtiniana. Para tanto, partimos de uma reflexão teórica sobre a noção de categoria (de análise). Investigamos, por um lado, como a noção de categoria esteve presente já na criação do CEDISCOR e da análise de discursos comparativa na França, quando buscava-se determinar “categorias comparáveis” e, por outro lado, mostramos como a criação de uma ciência por Bakhtin – a metalinguística – parte também de uma revisão da noção de categoria linguística, o que tem implicações na maneira como a análise de discursos comparativa de inspiração bakhtiniana pode ser praticada no Brasil.Resumo em Inglês:
ABSTRACT Comparative discourse analysis emerged in France, more precisely in the CEDISCOR laboratory of the Sorbonne Nouvelle University – Paris 3, around the year 2000. Currently, it is being implemented in Brazil within the Diálogo group (CNPq/USP). The purpose of this article is to reflect on the theoretical and methodological possibilities involved in the practise of Bakhtinian-inspired comparative discourse analysis in Brazil. To this end, we start from a theoretical reflection on the notion of category (of analysis). We investigate, on the one hand, how the notion of category was already present in the creation of CEDISCOR and comparative discourse analysis in France, when one sought to determine “comparable categories”; on the other hand, we show how the creation of a science by Bakhtin – metalinguistics – also starts from a revision of the notion of linguistic category, which has implications for the way Bakhtinian-inspired comparative discourse analysis can be practised in Brazil.Resumo em Português:
RESUMO Este trabalho ancora-se no estudo dos conceitos de relações dialógicas e de discurso bivocal para analisar interações discursivas estabelecidas entre uma revisora e uma doutoranda durante diferentes etapas de realização da atividade de revisão textual em uma tese acadêmica. O material da pesquisa é constituído por discursos advindos: i) de e-mails entre a revisora e a doutoranda, nos quais elas discutem o conceito da atividade de trabalho contratada; e ii) por um excerto do texto em processo de revisão, junto à inserção de comentários de ambas na escrita. Os discursos investigados possibilitam-nos contemplar as tensas relações dialógicas envoltas no fazer de um revisor de textos, trazer pistas dos diferentes estágios de desenvolvimento da tessitura textual, assim como nos permitem discutir o discurso bivocal constitutivo do trabalho com revisão textual, a partir das palavras da revisora ressoadas no texto da doutoranda, que compõem o texto acadêmico revisado em sua versão final.Resumo em Inglês:
ABSTRACT This paper is based on the study of the concepts of dialogic relationships and double-voiced discourse to analyze discursive interactions between a proofreader and a doctoral student during different stages of proofreading an academic thesis. The research material are discourses from: i) e-mails exchanges between the proofreader and the doctoral student regarding their understanding of the work the proofreader performs and ii) an excerpt of the thesis during the proofreading process with the proofreader’s and the doctoral student’s comments in the text. The analysis of these discourses allows us to see the tense dialogic relationships that constitute the proofreader’s work, to observe the clues on the various stages of the writing process, as well as to discuss the double-voiced discourse that constitutes the work with proofreading based on the proofreader’s words resounded in the doctoral student's final version of the revised text.Resumo em Português:
RESUMO Nas obras de Bakhtin sobre o romance polifônico de Dostoiévski, há um conjunto de noções muito relevantes para a análise do funcionamento da palavra bivocal, concebida como um enunciado direcionado tanto para o seu objeto referencial como para o discurso de outrem acerca desse objeto, com todas as refrações das vozes que já o valoraram nas interações discursivas de que esse objeto já foi tema. Neste artigo, analiso as relações dialógicas que constroem o posicionamento axiológico do falante por meio da polêmica (aberta/velada) em postagens de Facebook com conteúdo temático constituído mediante o diálogo entre as esferas discursivas política e religiosa. Demonstro, com base nos estudos bakhtinianos, como o (des/re)encontro das vozes em um determinado enunciado demanda do sujeito contemporâneo um olhar atento aos movimentos sinuosos das formas de emergência, circulação e gerenciamento das vozes que constituem/constituíram certos discursos históricos na sociedade brasileira, com todos os procedimentos enunciativos de reelaboração e reacentuação envolvidos nesse processo.Resumo em Inglês:
ABSTRACT In Bakhtin’s works on Dostoevsky’s polyphonic novel, there is a set of very relevant notions for the analysis of the functioning of the bivocal word, which is conceived as an utterance directed both toward its referential object and toward the discourse of others about that object. This object carries within it all the refractions of the voices that have already valued it in the discursive interactions of which it has been the theme. In this paper, I analyze the dialogic relationships that compose the speaker’s axiological positioning through the polemic (open/hidden) in Facebook posts with thematic content constituted through the dialogue between the political and religious spheres. Based on Bakhtinian studies, I demonstrate how the (mis/re)encounter of voices in a given utterance demands from the contemporary subject an attentive look at the sinuous movements of the forms of emergence, circulation and management of the voices that constitute/constituted certain historical discourses in Brazilian society, with all the enunciative procedures of reworking and re-accentuating involved in this process.Resumo em Russo:

Bakhtin, Problemas da criação/poética de Dostoiévski (1929; 1963): sua importância na história das ciências humanas na União Soviética; os subtextos religiosos do livro; os esboços rascunhados do cientista para a reedição da monografia; as evoluções e as contradições da metodologia filosófica e da teoria literária na pesquisa; a continuidade das ideias “metalinguísticas” do cientista em relação às raízes antigas (Aristóteles) e da Europa Ocidental (“Escola de Vossler”); reflexo na reedição do livro da categoria metafísica bakhtiniana do “grande tempo”; delimitação pelo autor dos conceitos de “criação” e “poética” em relação à obra de Dostoiévski; as possibilidades técnicas de comparação das mudanças da metalíngua do livro, acessíveis em vista dos índices terminológicos e onomásticos presentes na primeira tentativa de publicação das duas edições em um volume realizada pelo editor petersburguês e filólogo D. RESUMO O livro de Mikhail Bakhtin Problemas da criação de Dostoiévski, publicado em 1929 e republicado em 1963, com alterações consideráveis, sob o título Problemas da poética de Dostoiévski, apresenta, como uma inovação artística trazida pelo clássico russo, a polifonia: termo emprestado da esfera musical. Ao lado do dialogismo e da carnavalização, é um dos conceitos mais lembrados quando se trata do legado teórico de Bakhtin. Ao transferi-lo para o campo dos estudos literários, Bakhtin lhe atribui um sentido filosófico-estético mais amplo. A descoberta bakhtiniana acerca da obra de Dostoiévski nasceu como resultado de um estudo abrangente da bibliografia sobre o escritor russo, mas também teve, entre as suas origens, o pensamento filosófico russo. No entanto, já nos anos 1920, certas referências não podiam ser feitas abertamente. O perigo de repressões era real: a participação de Bakhtin no grupo filosófico-religioso Voskressiénie motivou a sua prisão em 1928, justamente no momento em que o livro Problemas da criação de Dostoiévski estava em preparação. Partimos, portanto, do princípio de que o livro de Bakhtin possui referências explícitas, como é o caso de Viatcheslav Ivánov, Dmitri Merejkóvski, Akim Volýnski, Vassíli Rózanov, Liev Chestov, citados diretamente, e referências ocultas, como, por exemplo, Vladímir Soloviov e Nikolai Berdiáev.Resumo em Inglês:
ABSTRACT Mikhail Bakhtin's book Problems of Dostoevsky's Creation, published in 1929 and republished in 1963 with considerable changes under the title Problems of Dostoevsky's Poetics, presents, as an artistic innovation brought by the Russian classic, polyphony – a term borrowed from the musical sphere. Alongside dialogism and carnivalization, it is one of Bakhtin's most remembered concepts, when it comes to his theoretical legacy. By transferring it to the field of literary studies, Bakhtin gives it a broader philosophical-aesthetic sense. The Bakhtinian discovery regarding Dostoevsky's work appeared as a result of a comprehensive study of the bibliography on the Russian writer, but it also had the Russian philosophical thought among its origins. However, already in the 1920s, certain references could not be made openly. The danger of repression was real: Bakhtin's participation in the philosophical-religious group Voskresenie led to his arrest in 1928, just when Problems of Dostoevsky's Creation was in preparation. Therefore, we assume that Bakhtin's book has explicit references, as is the case of Vyacheslav Ivanov, Dmitri Merezhkovsky, Akim Volynsky, Vasily Rozanov, Lev Shestov, directly cited, and hidden references, such as, for example, Vladimir Solovyov and Nikolay Berdyaev.Resumo em Português:
RESUMO O objetivo deste artigo é buscar uma melhor compreensão do conceito de romance polifônico proposto por Mikhail Bakhtin no livro Problemas da criação de Dostoiévski (1929), por meio da recuperação da gênese do texto na cronologia da obra bakhtiniana, bem como dos interlocutores russos e soviéticos de duas áreas: crítica/teoria da literatura e filosofia. A pesquisa bibliográfica e o cotejo dos textos revelaram, por um lado, as fontes do conceito de polifonia, e, por outro, as formulações originais de Bakhtin.Resumo em Inglês:
ABSTRACT The aim of this article is to arrive at a better understanding of Mikhail Bakhtin’s concept of the polyphonic novel, proposed in the book Problems of Dostoevsky’s Creation (1929), in the first place, by recovering the genesis of the text within the chronology of Bakhtin’s works, and secondly, through Russian and Soviet interlocutors in two fields: Literary Theory/Criticism, and Philosophy. Bibliographic research, and cross-checking texts revealed, on the one hand, the sources of the concept of polyphony, and, on the other, Bakhtin’s original formulations.
