ABSTRACT
Since 1976, when he wrote the essay “Poesia Resistência”, Alfredo Bosi has revisited that subject, clarifying nuances and pointing the various ways resistance thinking may take shape. On those investigative efforts, his thoughts on dominant ideology play a decisive role. This article relates those investigations to a small part of a comparative study between the poetry of Carlos Drummond de Andrade and the songs of Bob Dylan, works that often clash “with the dominant ideologies of their time or, more dramatically, clash with themselves” (Bosi, 2005, p.327), developing and transforming the original sense of resistance poetry proposed by Bosi.
