Grandparents death in children's literature: an analysis of three picture books

Respecting the intelligence and sensitivity of the child, increasingly contemporary children's literature declines subjects traditionally considered taboo, such as death, through the creation of literary and visual universes with high aesthetic quality, where death is the subject of plural approaches. Thus, it is our purpose, in this article, to understand how text and images coexist and intersect themselves in three children's picture books having the death as the nuclear subject.
