READING TEXTS FROM A TEACHER EDUCATION JOURNAL (CIÊNCIA EM TELA) BY SCIENCE TEACHERS

This study was born out of a pedagogical workshop for Science teachers. The main goal of the study was to discuss meanings attributed by teachers to views expressed in texts written by authors from different academic and Professional backgrounds and published at Ciência em Tela (www.cienciaemtela.nutes.ufrj.br), an on-line teacher education journal. The investigation involved the analysis of teachers' readings and of reviews they wrote about texts published in the journal under the theoretical and methodological framework of discourse analysis, as developed by Pêcheux and Orlandi. The results indicate that production conditions involved both in teachers' choices and readings relate to aspects such as: demand for professional development, use of texts as teaching resources and specific needs involved in text production. The analysis also discussed intertexts, parphrastic and polysemic interpretations, in addition to appropriation moves of the texts reviewed by teachers.
