Abstract
Presents data from a survey focusing on the concepts that mothers have concerning of sexual the abuse. A qualitative methodology was used, semi-structured interview for data analysis and content analysis of Bardin. The data reveal that the mothers express the understanding about their daughters abuse discoursing about the characteristics of the abuse of their daughters, their conceptions of abuse and the mother’s place facing this fact. These are women who rely on their personal experiences to comprehend the situation of the abuse practiced against their daughters seeking to protect their children.
