Abstract
The exposure to an urgency/emergency phenomenon can be stressful and traumatic for patients, families and professionals involved. The role of the psychologist in these situations has been outlined by interventions that facilitate the rehabilitation of the subject, seeking to exert influence on psychological functioning, facilitating the necessary conditions for this operation be more adaptive according to the situation. Furthermore, it is important the interventions with health professionals who are directly involved in this context. In this article, we report the experience of the insertion of the Psychology Service at 192 RN SAMU (Emergency Mobile Care Service), which propose interventions with victims attended for clinical conditions, accidents or violence, as well as with their family, the community involved and health care professionals. It was perceived the growth of the recognition of psychology along the interventions as an important and indispensable service in attendance on the subject suffering. This service is supported by the principle of integrality of SUS, which recognizes man as an integral and biopsychosocial human being.
