The slip of alternative idea

Abstract

This essay tries to make the idea of "alternative" slip over the significant chain: by searching its limits, it wants to ventilate new meanings giving flow to its happenings and alive becomings. Being feed in the con-text of counterculture and being institutionalized in education through "alternative schools", the "alternative" is rethought there by its movements, as a movement, not as a "school". The "alternative" would be then a line of flight escaping from the institutionalized educational processes that arrest the expressive potencies into a programmatic dimension - when the mechanic takes over the machinery. Therefore, the hypothesis of a pedagogy of potency, ethically feed by good encounters and power of liberty, is proved at its very limit, a kind of pedagogy capable of affect thought and unchain the capacity of acting of pre-larval subjects, unfinished, in metastable equilibrium.
