The approach made here about the "expert psy assemblage" inserted into the criminal field draws a path of analysis that considers the operation of this assemblage, highlighting the intertwined relationships between the legal and psychological knowledge. To undertake such analysis, specific documents produced by the psy experts, working under the Judiciary Power in Uruguay, are used. The psy practices are understood as the effect of certain historical confluences related to strategies of objectivation, the translation of psy categories in juridical categories, and the incorporation of the logic of individualization as a central point of the "expert psy assemblage". The research question is what allows the incorporation of the "expert psy assemblage" in the criminal field.
