ABSTRACT
The study analyzes the characteristics of the economic, social and, above all, sports policy of Michel Temer's tenure (2016-2018). To that end, a theoretical debate and documentary study were carried out, with an analysis of the amount and the allocation of federal government resources for sport. The adoption of a radical fiscal adjustment was observed, with cuts in social rights. With regard to sports policies, there was a fall in the amount, especially in 2017 and 2018 and the non-prioritization of final sports activities.
