Abstract:
The Odin Teatret, founded in Oslo in 1964 and established in Denmark since 1966, began to build privileged relations with Latin American artists from the second half of the 1970s, especially during its many tours beyond the Ocean (1976-today). In this article, through two case studies (tour of the Odin in Cuba in 2002 and in Uruguay in 2006), we will analyze some characteristics of this network, both old and contemporary, which allowed the performers of the two continents to make their theatrical adventure more solid and sustainable by sharing reflections, know-how as well as alternative production and distribution channels.
