Visibility of the invisible in Contos Transantropológicos by Athena Beauvoir

ABSTRACT

This text presents and discusses aspects of the book Contos Transantopológicos by Athena Beauvoir. This work, published in 2018, is composed of 31 stories of relatively short length in whose plots there is a thread that leads and ties them together, triggering the author's literary project: deconstructing hegemonic patterns and practices of heteronormative patriarchy to remove trans people of sociosexual uncertainty, whether in reality or in fiction, giving them a place of belonging and of reaffirming their identity within a literary production of representation and visibility.
