Convergences and Complementarities between the Theories of the Three Worlds of Mathematics and that one of Sociointeractivity

Abstract

This paper presents a theoretical reflexion focused on the defense of the simultaneous employment of the Theory of the Three Worlds of Mathematics and Social interaction as a possibility of better results in teaching Math. The analytical reading of the theoretical sources has brought about elements regarding the epistemological coherence between theories, bolstering the justifications for their association as well as their employment in teaching practices. The dimension of the language, the usage of symbols, and one's mental moments are deemed the convergent points; therefore, cementing the theoretical coherence. The way both theories complement each other is also analyzed, thus, leading to propositions of an amplified use of each.
