Education and work in the perspective of the Brazilian business community: the basic education project of the National Confederation of Industry (CNI)

This article aims to examine the National Confederation of Industry's project regarding basic education. This educational project is understood as the result of the industrial bourgeoisie's mediations in order to build a "social pact" concerning a project of society, towards which it invests efforts in order to convince both, the workers' representatives and the State's representatives. Its purpose is to influence the implementation of educational public policies and, thus, turn its particular social class conceptions into a universal project. The research was conducted based on documentary analysis and literature review, using some principles of the Marxist's social theory for the analysis of society and class struggles as a methodological reference.
