The place of chemistry in the school: movements constitutive of the subject in the daily school

ABSTRACT: This work analyzes attitudes at school related to chemistry, exploring the concept of place and its influences on the evolution of that discipline within the curriculum as it is active in the scholars' context. For understanding the problem, different actors at school: teachers, students, employees, directors, have been interviewed with the following question - What is the place of Chemistry in school? From this question, a large spectrum of replies was produced. The results are analyzed in the light of the problem already expressed and from one theoretical perspective that is provided by De Certeau, Goodson, among another.
