The following has two objectives. The first one describes professional training as part of the trade union and workers agenda today, the main ideas and demands it contains and the new social and economic background involved. Next, the article presents the story of a project that innovates the educational field, developed in the State of São Paulo and that in a certain way answers to part of the workers demands.
