EDUCATION AND SOCIAL KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SOCIAL CAPITAL

ABSTRACT

The article reflects on the relevance of knowledge as a factor to achieve sustainable development and the construction of cognitive spaces, counting on education as a generator of said knowledge and transforming social reality. Reality that requires a conscious and proactive Human Capital, a Structural Capital at the service of people, a Relational Capital as an articulating bridge of cognitive synergies, and a Social Capital as a result of a ‘perfect’ harmony between the constituent parts of a given territory. Aspects that together will allow the creation of potentials for a specific population to appropriate its singularities and its surroundings, and transform and generate positive local and sustainable conditions for the benefit of people and the collective.
