ABSTRACT
The idea of reducing the discussion on bodies to a discussion on aggregates is motivated by a number of metaphysical issues involving the notion of body. Two reductive strategies are then presented. The first one identifies bodies to logical constructions based on possible worlds and a moment in time. The second one treats bodies as logical fictions. Then, feasibility of both strategies is defended. Even though a final decision about which is preferable is not reached, one relevant comparative aspect is emphasized: the second approach leads to an unpleasant choice regarding the nature of people.
